Christmas came early this year... It seems GMC has decided to play nice with our wallets, huh? The 2026 Sierra EV is rolling in, and guess what? It's cheaper! Like, "Did they accidentally knock off $25,000?" cheaper. Apparently, someone at GMC decided we deserved a little electric truck love without having to sell our firstborn.
There's a mountain of new trims available. We've got the Elevation, the AT4, and the Denali. GMC really threw a "pick your adventure" party, and everyone's invited. The 645-horsepower Elevation starts at… $64,495! That's for the standard range, mind you. You get a massive 16.8-inch screen, since our dashboards needed to double as drive-in movie theaters. Plus, an eTrunk! It's a front trunk, but electric.
Then there's the AT4. And this one's for the off-road warriors. Available in either 625-hp or 725-hp versions, it's got a 2-inch lift, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and a "Terrain Mode" that sounds like it's straight out of a video game. It's ready to tackle anything, from rocky trails to your neighbor's ridiculously bumpy driveway. Pay $81,395, and you're buying a rugged adventure with a side of electric zen. And yes, it does the CrabWalk thing. It also has the SuperCruise hands-free driving, so you can look at your phone, but don't.
And for those of you who like your trucks with a side of luxury, there's the Denali. Starting at $71,795, this 760-horsepower beast has all the bells and whistles, including heated and ventilated seats, because your royal behind deserves the best. And, of course, SuperCruise, and a panoramic sunroof so you can see the stars while you are driving at night. Go for the largest battery pack, and the price climbs to $100,695 (including delivery), but this beast can go for close to 500 miles (if you're careful) or run your house for weeks.
Battery options: Standard, Extended, and Max Range. They're keeping the exact range numbers a secret for now, but they're promising "real truck things." Like towing up to 12,300 pounds. That's a lot of stuff. And with 800V DC fast charging, you can get 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes.
And let's not forget the MultiPro MidGate. It turns your truck bed into an 11-foot cargo carrier. Because sometimes, you just need to haul a small house. Or a really, really big couch.
GMC is aiming to hit that sweet spot in the "premium truck market," and honestly, they might just pull it off. They're offering a truck that's not only capable but also, dare I say, kind of stylish? With prices ranging from $64,495 to $100,695, there's a Sierra EV for everyone. Even that one cousin who insists on bringing his entire garage with him on road trips.
The 2026 GMC Sierra EV is here to shake things up, and it's doing it with a smile and a wink. And a whole lot of electric power. Stay tuned for more details, because this summer is about to get a whole lot more electrifying.
