Electric Porsche 964: Silent Speed, Shocking Green, Pure Electric Power.

Here's an electric Porsche that's got the purists clutching their pearls. I've seen more cars than most people have seen socks, but this Everrati "Viper Commission" 964? It's a proper head-turner.

So - it's electric. I could finish the article here and call it a day. The amount of people choking on their tea after reading that sentence is enough to start a war on social media. But, against my better judgment, I'll carry on. Down the electric rabbit hole, we go…

Everrati has taken a perfectly good, air-cooled flat-six, ripped it out, and shoved in a battery and an electric motor. I can just hear people screaming "sacrilege!" And they would be right… if we were still living in the Stone Age. But we're not. We're in the age of instant torque and silent speed, and this thing's got it in spades.

Everrati, as usual, has done a proper job on this one. They've taken a classic 964, stripped it down, and given it a makeover that would make a Hollywood starlet jealous. They've slapped on some lightweight carbon fiber body panels, painted it a rather loud shade of Viper Green, and fitted some funky black wheels with polished silver rims. This, my friend, is a classic rock star who got a tech upgrade.

The now electric 911 boasts a 62 kWh battery pack, which Everrati claims is good for about 200 miles, or roughly 320 kilometers, on a single charge. If you're really careful with the throttle, it should be enough to get you from, say, New York to Boston. And the acceleration? They're saying it'll hit 60 mph – that's 96 kph for you metric types – in under four seconds. Four seconds! The 964 was never meant to be this quick…

Of course, all this electrifying wizardry comes at a price. Everrati hasn't given us the exact figure, but judging by their previous reincarnations, it's not going to be cheap. We're talking serious money here, probably enough to buy a small island in the Pacific. But if you've got the cash and a burning desire to save the planet, then this is the car for you.

The cabin of this electric beauty has been wrapped in black leather, with some grey stripes added here and there, and there's even a green 12 o'clock stripe on the steering wheel. It's all very posh, very modern, and very, well, electric. Jumping into this 911 must feel like stepping into a spaceship, but one that smells of fine leather instead of ozone.

Purists will probably say: "It's too heavy!" "It's lost its soul!" And maybe they're right. But I'll be brutally honest here - most of those old 911s spent more time leaking oil than actually being driven. This electric version? It's reliable, it's fast, and it's got enough torque to spin the Earth backwards. A classic 911 that's fun to drive without worrying about its bits falling off? This is an automotive miracle.

Look, I know the added weight of the battery pack will impact the handling. A classic 964 was designed to be a scalpel, a precise tool for carving corners. This thing? Well, I'd bet it's more of a sledgehammer. Still, a very fast sledgehammer. I hope that the modern suspension wizardry can fix some of the weight issues.

This electric 964 is a fat and bright green middle finger to the old ways, a sign that even the most iconic cars can be brought into the 21st century. Is it a bit like putting a jet engine in a horse-drawn carriage? Sure is. It sounds absurd, but boy, is it undeniably impressive.

I love it. The Everrati "Viper Commission" 964 is fast, it's green, and it's electric. Purists are shaking their fists, painting the banners, and planning to boycott Everatti. And that's ok. The rest of us are just wondering how much it'll cost to get one.
