Let me tell you about the latest and greatest thing I've stumbled upon in the world of electric vehicles. You know how much I love my cars, but I have a soft spot for anything that moves on electricity. And this, my friends, is a two-wheeled electric scooter that's so darn cute, it almost makes me want to give up my four wheels altogether.
Wait... A scooter? Really? That's not exactly your style, is it? And you're right, it's not. But this isn't just any scooter. This is a Fiat. Yep, a Fiat scooter. And not just any Fiat, but a 500e. Well, sort of.

It's called the E-Moped 500, and it's the brainchild of Platum, an Italian company specializing in electric micromobility partnerships. In the past, they've teamed up with some big names in the automotive and motorcycle world, like Ducati, Aprilia, and Jeep. But this time, they've outdone themselves.
They took the iconic Fiat 500e and reimagined it as a two-wheeled electric scooter. And they didn't do it alone. They enlisted the help of Pininfarina, the legendary Italian design house, and Centro Stile Fiat. The result is a scooter that's as stylish as it is practical.

A Fiat scooter? That's probably about as practical as a chocolate teapot? Well, yes and no. This little scooter has a lot to offer. It's classed as an L3 scooter, which is equivalent to a 125cc gas scooter, and it has a top speed of about 50 mph. That's not bad for a scooter. The E-Moped 500 has a range of about 71 miles on a single charge. That's enough to get you to work and back, with a few errands thrown in for good measure.
But the best part is that the battery is removable. That means you don't have to worry about plugging the entire scooter in when it's time to recharge. You can simply take the battery out and charge it indoors.
How much does it cost? Well, that's the million-dollar question. Unfortunately, Platum hasn't released pricing information yet. But I'm sure it'll be worth every penny.
