Italian Electric Hypercar Aims to Shatter Nurburgring Record

Fellow earthlings, men and women, young lads and lasses, come hither and assemble!  I have a tale to tell you of a mind-bending, face-melting electric beast from the deep, dark depths of Italy. The Estrema Fulminea, a monstrous 2,012 horsepower lightning bolt, is ready to tear the Nurburgring track apart in its relentless pursuit of the electric vehicle record.

This fiery stallion has been hiding in the shadows, biding its time, and now it's set to emerge from its lair in June, with its sights firmly set on conquering the Nordschleife circuit come September. It's been a while since we've heard from the whispering shadows of Automobili Estrema, but it seems they've been brewing a potent potion to unleash upon the world.

Now, in a plot twist worthy of a Shakespearean tragedy, the brand has turned to Kickstarter in a bid to fund their record-shattering dreams. It's a touch concerning to see such ambition resting on the shoulders of crowdfunding, but we'll have to see how this rollercoaster ride of a story unfolds.

The folks at Automobili Estrema have confidence oozing from their pores, like a fine Chianti. They believe their passion, experience, and sheer talent will propel them to the finish line. The question remains: will they rise like a phoenix, or crumble under the weight of their ambition?

Regardless of the outcome, the Fulminea promises to be a groundbreaking electric hypercar, a fusion of ultra-capacitors and a hybrid battery pack that marries good ol' lithium-ion cells with cutting-edge solid-state cells from Avesta Battery Energy Engineering.

The Fulminea will boast a battery capacity of at least 100 kWh and a frankly bonkers energy density of 500 Wh/kg. Its battery will weigh a mere 661 lbs, while the car tips the scales at 3,307 lbs.

Assuming all goes according to plan, this four-motor beast will catapult from 0-199 mph in under ten seconds and cover 323 miles in the WLTP cycle. Furthermore, it'll reportedly recharge from 10% to 80% in less than 15 minutes.

When Automobili Estrema kicks off the production, they'll only be assembling 61 of these electrifying beasts, each with a starting price of nearly $2,16 million (€1,96 million).

So, buckle up, for the ride of your life awaits.
