I just laid eyes on a car that's so gorgeous, it could make a grown man weep. It's a restomod by Totem Automobili of the classic Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA, and it's not just any old restomod – it's an all-electric beauty with enough power to make your hair stand on end. And they call it "Armonia" which, in my book, translates to "a symphony of skill, technology, and performance."

I used to be a bit skeptical of electric cars. In my humble opinion they're all well and good, but they lack the soul and character of a good old-fashioned combustion engine. At least, they were supposed to. But this Alfa Romeo is different. It's got the looks of a classic Italian sports car, with a modern twist that makes it look like something out of a sci-fi movie.

The bodywork of the GT Electric is made entirely of carbon fiber, which means it's lighter than a feather and stiffer than a politician's promise. And that triple-layer metallic blue paint job? It's so deep and lustrous, it looks like you could dive right into it.

But let's talk about the good stuff: the electric motor. This bad boy pumps out 590 horsepower and a whopping 664 lb-ft of torque. That's enough to propel this little Alfa from 0 to 62 mph in a blistering 2.9 seconds. Funny enough - that’s identical time to the new 2025 Porsche Carrera GTS with its fancy T-Hybrid powertrain. Back to Alfa -  thanks to its lightweight construction, it handles like a dream, too.

What about range anxiety? Well, fear not, my friend, because this Alfa Romeo can go up to 311 miles on a single charge. That's enough to get you from New York to Boston, with plenty of juice to spare.

But what if you're not a fan of electric cars? Well, Totem Automobili has got you covered. They also offer a version with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that puts out a mind-boggling 620 horsepower. That's probably enough to make your grandma's dentures fly out, so make sure you don’t offer rides to the elderly - just in case.

If you're thinking: "This car is probably out of my price range," then you're probably right. It starts at a cool $470,000, and that's before you add any bespoke options or extras. A man can dream, can't he?

In all seriousness, though, this Alfa Romeo restomod is a true work of art. It's a testament to the skill and passion of the folks at Totem Automobili, and it's a car that deserves to be celebrated. So, if you happen to have a spare half-million dollars lying around, do yourself a favor and buy one of these beauties. You won't regret it.

And for the rest of us mere mortals, we can at least admire it from afar. Who knows, maybe one day we'll see one of these beauties cruising down the highway. And if we do, you can bet I'll be the one with my jaw on the floor and a goofy grin on my face. An electric Alfa Romeo that's so good, it could make a grown man cry. Who would've thought?
